  • Junior Basics: What You Need to Know About Financial Aid for College

    Planning to go to college? There are lots of things to think about and many questions you need to ask – How do I pay for college? What is financial aid? When and how do I apply? Where can I get help? In this forum HESC will provide an overview of financial aid, look at the different types of financial aid available and help you learn how and when to apply and where to get help. We’ll also look at the cost of attendance and help you understand how your financial aid awards are determined. If you are a soon-to-be college student or parent of a high school Junior and want to begin planning, this presentation is for you.

  • Financial Aid for Foster Care Youth

    There are a wide range of financial opportunities available to current and former foster youth to help pay for college. If a young person was in foster care and can provide documentation of their foster care status, they could be eligible to receive thousands of dollars in aid. Please join HESC as we discuss how to assist foster care youth in finding grants, loans and scholarships that help them pay for college.
